You can now earn cash back and save money just by doing your weekly grocery shopping with the Shopitize app.

The free phone app – available for both iOS (iPhone) and Android devices – will provide you with vouchers to take advantage of offers in supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and The Co-Operative.

When shopping you can unlock offers before scanning the barcode of the product to make sure you’re getting the right deal.

Once you’ve made your purchase, you upload a picture of your receipt to get cash back which is paid to you either via Paypal or straight into your bank account (there is a minimum £5.00 withdrawal limit to meet).

This means that you can earn cash for wherever you shop and spend it wherever you want and on whatever you want, rather than being confined to a certain shop by loyalty card schemes.

Currently the app only works when shopping in physical stores but the team behind the app are working on bringing the technology to online sales too.
